Egan was a huge, pure-blooded D'Haran soldier who was one of Lord Rahl's personal guards along with Ulic.

Having blond hair and blue eyes, Egan was the typical image of a pure-blooded male D'Haran. He was large and very muscular. He could kill people by just ramming his elbow to their heads. The brown armor he wore acts like a second skin. He was very similar to Ulic, his counterpart bodyguard to the Lord Rahl.
Egan, like the other D'Harans, was very protective of the Lord Rahl.
