Ildakar is legendary city in the Old World, know for its eccentric Wizarding and magic, The wizards of Ildakar had been successful in shrouding their city under a veil that made the city appear as if it had simply disappeared. The spell lasted over 1500 years before the reminisce of its power began to wear off.
When Nicci, Nathan Rahl and Bannon happened upon the location, they had noticed the odd yet vast number of statues which would later appear to be soldiers from the neighboring city Orogang that had been planning to invade Ildakar yet were petrified by the wizard Maxim before the city disappeared under the shroud of eternity.
The city was successful through nefarious means able to place their city under the Shroud of Eternity by sacrificing slaves and killing the wicked sorceress Thora and using her powerful blood to activate shrouding spell.
