Maren was a high-ranking Sister of the Light and the headmistress of the novices at the Palace of the Prophets.

Maren was a stout, stern looking woman with fine sandy hair. She was stocky with muscles like a woodsman and a tongue to match them. Though she was strict as the headmistress of the novices, she was also a compassionate woman who recognized the difficulties which novices faced when first being accepted by the Sisters.
